Wollescote Hall Bowls Club was formed in 2022 as a result of the amalgamation of two clubs, namely Crystal Bowls Club and Black Country Bowls Club, who had shared the Green facilities for over 25 years.
The Bowling green is in the pleasantly situated walled garden next to the tennis courts behind Wollescote Hall in Stevens Park, Wollescote and is the only flat Bowling Green in the Dudley Borough.
The Green was converted from two grass tennis courts by DMBC some thirty years ago and although the playing surface can be challenging, improvements continue to be made thanks to the efforts of club members and new management of DMBC Green Care with many rinks being approved for County competitive games by WBA inspectors.
