Community Bowling Club

The Club was formed in 1987 to promote the physical and mental well-being of men and women in the community and promote, foster and safeguard the Level Green Game of Bowls, and to encourage the means to provide social activities and amenities for its members.

Community Bowls we feel is the nursery (grass roots) of bowls, as members learn the game, and then move on to other Clubs in the area, or even start their own Clubs in their own villages.

Numbers have fluctuated, going down very low, but we have rallied round and obtained new bowlers, able bodied and disabled, and are hopeful of a bright future. One founder member of the Club is still playing.
