Worcestershire B A suffered their third successive Middleton Cup defeat when Warwickshire C B A won by 25 shots when they met at WorcesterBC in Wood Terrace.
Only being able to draw on one rink, the home county finished bottom of the league and for many years, this is the first time Worcestershire have failed to claim a win during a season.
The home county found themselves 19 shots in arrears after five ends after dropping a 5 and two 3's. At the half way stage the arrears margin still remained 19 although both sides picked up 'Fives'
Although Worcestershire picked up two 'Fives' they conceded two 'Sixes' and still trailed by 21 shots after 15 ends.
Over the final ends the visitors picked up five 4's to seal victory, although Worcestershire did salvage a 'Six'.
After taking an early lead, Andy Walters rink then conceded a 'Six' and for the following eight ends were trailing but on the final end picked up 3 shots to claim Worcestershire only point.
