Worcestershire B A suffered a 26 shot 'Middleton Cup' defeat when they met Bowls Cornwall on a neutral green at Cullompton in Devon.
Due to other commitments several new faces were brought in at late notice.
As against Devon the previous week, Worcestershire could only manage one winning rink to claim two points against twenty.
Worcestershire got off to a drastic start when they dropped a 6 and two 5's and trailed by 22 shots after 5 ends.
At the half way stage the arrears had been reduced to 14 after picking up three 4's.
During the following 8 ends Cornwall picked up 6 and three 4's to take them into a 20 shot lead.
Although Worcestershire picked up a 6 and a 4 over the final ends Cornwall scored a total of 21 shots to give them victory.
The only success for Worcestershire came from Rob Stanley's rink, who after dropping a 6 & 4 during the first 5 ends then pulled back only allowing their opponents to score on 5 ends and ran out victors by 3 shots.
Dropping a 6 half way through the game, the rink skipped by Dean Hemming recorded the same score on the final end and just failed by the odd shot.
Cornwall won by 26 shots.
